Lead me to calvary

This was the song that we sang during the Week of Sanctification. Pastor Khong shared that this was a song that really touched him when he walked through the lowest point of his life. I hope it will minister to you as much as it did to me!

(am searching for the mp3, anyone knows where to get it? imeem and youtube have only weird versions.)

Lead Me To Calvary

King of my life, I crown Thee now,
Thine shall the glory be;
Lest I forget Thy thorn crowned brow,
Lead me to Calvary.

Refrain

Lest I forget Gethsemane,
Lest I forget Thine agony;
Lest I forget Thy love for me,
Lead me to Calvary.

Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid,
Tenderly mourned and wept;
Angels in robes of light arrayed
Guarded Thee whilst Thou slept.

Refrain

Let me like Mary, through the gloom,
Come with a gift to Thee;
Show to me now the empty tomb,
Lead me to Calvary.

Refrain

May I be willing, Lord, to bear
Daily my cross for Thee;
Even Thy cup of grief to share,
Thou hast borne all for me.

Refrain

Words by Jennie E. Hussey, 1921

Empower me

Nobody knows, how weak I am
Better than You
Nobody sees, all of my needs
Better than You

And nobody has, the power to change me
To what I was born to be
Jesus be strong, in my weakness
Empower me

Chorus:
Empower me
Like a rushing river flowing to the sea
Lord, send your Holy Spirit
Flowing out through me
Till I'm living as Your child
Victorious and free
Send the power of Your love
Empower me

Nobody's eyes, see through my soul
Better than Yours
Nobody's love, can make me whole
No love but Yours

And nobody has, the power to lift me
To reach for eternity
Jesus break through all my defenses
Empower me

Faith and Vision!

Praying with faith means what?
The common saying goes... it is not by sight but by faith.
How about a faith that has vision? Vision what God is going to do? Or your prayers coming true...I guess that takes a great amount of faith.

King David when he prays and intercede (ref Psalm 60) he used the words "I will"
Anyone of us here finds it difficult to break free from something or prayers not answered? Are you praying ...like uttering... non stop? Maybe you should just STOP praying... Really do a STOP before you pray with the faith that is in you.

S-Sing to the Lord (Worship, King David he sing to the Lord before he present anything.
T-Think (about His Love and your walk with Him... Think how much the LORD have given to you over the past years/months/days...)
O-Offer (Offer yourself to the Lord... you are a sacrifice. Offer our heart, let
our heart please Him)
P-Praise ( Praise God for your creating you, praise Him over all situations and for HIS love for you)

After all these... just be quiet for a while and ... then pray, your faith in the Lord will be renewed.

F-Forward Looking(See what is going to happen after the victory)
A-Assurance (rest and be secure, know that God loves you)
I-Intergrate with God (Just do your part and allow HIM to do the rest)
T-Trust God (not yourself otherwise you can not vision and look forward of your success. Imagine how big God's eyes can be, when his hand put Moses into the cleft of the rock when he passed by Exodus 33:21-23)
H-Hope (Be hopeful always)

Take time to STOP before the Lord and practice to pray and visioned.

God Loves you...Remember... He send His son Jesus. And because Jesus lives... we know HE holds the future.

*The above sharing is a revelation to me* All glory be to our sovereign Lord

Learning to Yield

For our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!" —2 Corinthians 4:17

I read a story about a radio exchange that took place some time ago between a U.S. Navy ship and Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland.

The Canadians warned the Americans, "Please divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision."

The Americans responded, "Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision."

The Canadians said, "Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision."

The Americans: "This is the captain of a U.S. Navy Ship. I say again, divert your course."

"No. I say again, you divert your course."

"This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States Atlantic fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers, and numerous support vessels. I demand that you change your course 15 degrees north. I say again, that is 15 degrees north or countermeasures will be undertaken to assure the safety of our ship."

After brief moment of silence, the Canadians responded: "This is a lighthouse. It is your call."

Sometimes we don't like what God wants us to do, and we want Him to change course when, in reality, it is us who ought to change course.We need to understand that God's plans are better than ours. Having said that, it does not mean that they are always the easiest or even the most appealing at the moment. There are times when we are going through life that we might not like the plan of God. But God's plans are always better for us in the long run.
